ADMINISTRATIVE SAFETY SPECIALIST PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
Chance Aluminum is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Safety Specialist to join our team. This dynamic position combines office management responsibilities with the crucial oversight of facility safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a passion for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while ensuring smooth office operations.
ADMINISTRATIVE SAFETY SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day-to-day administrative functions, including answering phones, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
- Coordinate office supplies and inventory, ensuring the office is always well-stocked and organized.
- Prepare and maintain reports, presentations, and other administrative documents.
- Handle travel arrangements and accommodation for team members as needed.
- Maintain company records, safety certifications, safety trainings, and other important documents.
- Support executive staff with various administrative tasks and project management as required.
- Oversee the maintenance of office equipment, including coordinating repairs and ensuring all equipment is operational.
Safety Oversight:
- Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety programs in compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections throughout the facility, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for employees on topics such as emergency procedures, equipment safety, and hazard recognition.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions.
- Ensure that proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is available, maintained, and used according to safety standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for any safety-related concerns or emergencies within the office and facility.
- Work closely with management to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to workplace safety.
- Prepare and file required safety documentation and reports for regulatory agencies.
ADMINISTRATIVE SAFETY SPECIALIST REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in administrative support and safety management, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
ADMINISTRATIVE SAFETY SPECIALIST PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires ability to work in an office and manufacturing environments. Physical conditions for positions: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, grasp, ascend/descend stairs. Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to work a minimum of 8 hours, and wear the required personal protective equipment.
