Account Manager (Steel Specialist) Job Summary:

The Account Manager – Steel Specialist is responsible for managing and expanding our customer base within the steel market, serving as the primary liaison between clients and the company. This role requires deep expertise in steel products, applications, and market dynamics. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to client management and revenue growth.

Account Manager (Steel Specialist) Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the steel industry, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored product solutions.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on steel product offerings.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of steel grades, specifications, and industrial applications.
  • Analyze sales reports and KPIs to identify trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for steel customers, providing prompt and accurate responses to inquiries, orders, and concerns.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments—logistics, operations, and finance—to ensure seamless order fulfillment and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively resolve client issues by collaborating with relevant teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins and performance reviews, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Monitor developments in the steel industry, including pricing, regulatory changes, and supply chain shifts.
  • Provide senior management with market insights, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Prospect new steel customers and suppliers to build a robust sales pipeline and expand market reach.

Account Manager (Steel Specialist) Required Skills and Abilities:
